I always knew working with animals was my true calling, but like many others, my career path traded fulfilment for money. After 19 years in the insurance industry, I knew it was time for change.

I began by gaining practical experience working with cats in shelters and commercial catteries, as well as offering my services as a private cat sitter. Saddened by the number of cats I saw struggling with coat care, I found myself researching feline specific grooming schools, and from my very first contact with Svetlana and Edita, I knew I had found my people.

I worked one to one with Edita in the salon while Svetlana stayed in regular contact as I progressed. I never felt rushed or judged, and questions were always encouraged. Their kindness and unwavering support through the highs and lows of learning and starting my business have given me the confidence to grow.

I was looking for a change in my career. I saw something on cat grooming and as I love animals, and have a cat of my own, I decided to look further into it.

After some research I came across Svetlana’s Cat Grooming School in London, UK and contacted Svetlana for further details. Even though Svetlana was away she still contacted me and after we spoke I was ready to begin immediately!

I was trained by the wonderful Edita. Her professionalism and care for the cats and the customers was so wonderful to see. So much care and attention to detail is given to every cat that comes to get groomed. Edita is very skilled and every day I was in awe and aspired to be a cat groomer just like her.

I have learnt so much more about cats. Being able to have 121 training and several different cats every day throughout the course is what makes Svetlanas grooming school so much more special.

This truly is a hands-on course and I have had so much support from Svetlana and Edita throughout.

I can’t believe I am now a master cat groomer and ready to start my new adventure.

I spent a lot of time researching and looking for cat grooming courses (all the while getting more excited about the prospect of running my own cat grooming business).
I found The Cat Grooming School and reached out to them with some questions, and the same day Svetlana called me to have a chat and answer all my questions.

The school is great at providing course days that work around your own schedule, so even with work, and having to travel for the course, I was still able to do the course at my own convenience.

I worked with Edita as my 1-to-1 tutor, and she was absolutely great. Super supportive and helpful when I needed it, but also gave me plenty of time to work with the cats on my own once I had all the basics down.
I often worked with 3-4 cats a day, ranging from short furs to large Maine coons, from dry baths to wet baths to full clips, and cats with a range of temperaments, which really makes you realise that cat grooming is no walk in the park, but can be super rewarding when you’re able to help a cat in need, or just to freshen up a cat and really please the client!

I’ve learnt a lot from both Edita and Svetlana about cat grooming (obviously!) and running a business. They provide plenty of suggestions for tools and equipment, and advice on the difficult parts of business running, to ideas i’d never even considered!

I’m super grateful to the both of them for all their help, knowledge, time and support. And am so grateful to know that even though i’m now going off on my own, that i’m able to contact either of them in the future if I ever have any questions or concerns!

I really believe that Svetlana’s Cat Grooming School is THE course to go with if you’re looking to persue this yourself, the support and knowledge to the honest realism of how the business can be is second to none.

I attended The Cat Groom School London for the whole package from doing the Foundation/Intermediate through to Advanced and Masters. It was tough but so worthwhile. I learnt so much from both Edita and Svetlana.
