I decided in my late twenties to change careers and pursue my true vocation; working with cats! My research led me quickly to the Cat Grooming School’s website and I was immediately hooked on the idea of becoming a professional cat groomer. I attended the Beginner course in April 2019 and learnt so much from Svetlana in those few short days that I was keen to come back asap for the Intermediate course later that year.
I finally took the plunge in April 2020 and left my job in order to complete the Advanced and Master courses on a 1-2-1 basis over the period of 4 full time weeks. Due to covid-19, this ended up being in July 2020 rather than May/June as planned! I can’t thank Svetlana enough for her reassurance and flexibility when it came to the ever-changing landscape of lockdown.
The courses are by no means easy; learning the skill of cat grooming is immensely challenging both physically and mentally, and I was frequently out of my comfort zone. However, with Svetlana’s expert guidance and tuition, and Edita’s constant reassuring presence and seemingly inexhaustible patience, I grew in confidence and skills and completed my Master Cat Groomer course in early August 2020. The salon is never short of feline clients for students to learn the practical skills with, and I was also instructed on the business management aspects of cat grooming as well, which really is invaluable for a new business owner. As a graduate of the School, I know that I can always turn to Svetlana for guidance going forward as well, which is very good to know.
Feline Good Cat Grooming has now been operating in Milton Keynes & surrounding area for nearly a month; I am so glad I took the plunge, and immensely grateful to Svetlana and Edita at the Cat Grooming School. Without their invaluable teaching I would not now be running the business of my dreams and making a real difference to the quality of lives of cats in my area, so I cannot thank them enough.

I have recently completed my Master Cat Grooming Course, at the Cat Grooming School in London. Something I thought I would never achieve.
On all the courses that I have completed from the basic through to Master level, Svetlana and Edita gave 100%. At the Cat Grooming School Svetlana always ensured you had enough cats to work with and at each level she made sure they were challenging enough to ensure that you progressed.
In my opinion there is nowhere else in the UK where you will find the knowledge, passion for what they do and high standards of teaching. If you decide to train at the Cat Grooming School for any level, be prepared to work hard and be pushed out of you comfort zone, then you will come away as I did with the confidence (that I didn’t know I had) to start a business and handle any cat that comes my way.

The trainer Edita was clear and patient. Having no prior grooming experience I was nervous how I would do, but I feel confident this is the career path for me and I can’t wait to begin the intermediate course ad beyond.

Svetlana Broussova offers courses that contain a high level of knowledge and experience. Over and above the qualifications of being a Veterinary Surgeon, she has many years of experience of working with many cats, many types and temperaments.
You are taught Cat whispering and handling over and above anything because Svetlana says you must have this before you think you can cat groom. She has a very good team member in Edita for extra student support and the content is extensive.
You will work hard but the rewards are very much worth it and I felt extremely emotional when Svetlana gave feedback at the end of my Master Groomer course, as I value her opinion and feedback.
I traveled from Newcastle to London 4x in a year, giving up a career in Nutrition and fitness, organising family so I could complete this course work and it has been very worth it. Svetlana offers ongoing advise re grooming and business necessities you will need to continue as a Professional groomer and succeed in business.

Following my life-changing decision to leave a career working in Central London to do something I genuinely loved, I started up my Pet Care business (primarily pet sitting), but knew I wanted to do more.
With a particular affection for cats and remembering the problems grooming my elderly arthritic cat some years ago, I decided I wanted to find out more about cat grooming.
I extensively researched the website for cat grooming courses and Svetlana Broussova’s name came up a number of times and was highly recommended for her excellent training through her Cat Grooming School. I decided to try the Taster Session Day to find out more. I was in awe how very shabby cats could be transformed into the beautiful animals they should be by skilled professional cat groomers! This Taster Day made me realise I wanted to learn this skill too.
What a journey I embarked on! I can honestly say it was the hardest, most exhausting, but also the most rewarding training I have ever done. It certainly was not easy – I had no idea cats could be so strong! But with Svetlana and Edita there to support and guide me, plus the other students I met on the course, I successfully completed my training from Foundation through to Master Cat Groomer level.
I am now building my own client base – no two cat grooms are the same! How I love it!
